We offer a rigorous pre-university course of study which meets the needs of highly-motivated secondary students. Rufus King has been offering the IB Diploma Programme since 1978, making it the 119th school in the world, and the second school in Wisconsin to be authorized.

Grades 9 and 10 emphasize the IB Middle Years preparatory
program, with students in Grades 11 and 12 eligible to earn the coveted
IB Diploma or individual subject certificates in addition to the MPS
diploma.

Two years of the same world language as well as three years of
social studies, math and science are required for graduation. King has
the largest number of athletic teams in MPS and 60 extracurricular
activities, focusing on service as well as intellect.
