Jefferson Lighthouse Elementary is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) School. We have been authorized to offer the IB PYP Programme since January 2012. Jefferson Lighthouse is part of the Racine Unified School District (RUSD). Our school's mission statement is "Internationally-minded learners inquire, collaborate, and take action." RUSD features a wide variety of choices and programs that create opportunities for all of our students to excel, including 3- and 4-year-old programs, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, dual language, more than 300 virtual learning courses, award-winning fine arts, after-school programs, nationally recognized Career and Technical Education programs, the Academies of Racine and more. Our North Star Vision focuses on the whole child. It aligns with the Board of Education’s Results Policies that establish expectations for all graduates to successfully demonstrate academic achievement, workplace skills, global citizenship, and life skills. The district's mission is to "Educate Every Student to Succeed." For more information, please explore the RUSD website. |
