Green Bay West High School, a richly diverse school of 1,000 students, became the 12th school in the state of Wisconsin to be authorized as an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme World School in the spring of 2011. Our students are engaged in a wide array of co-curricular activities, including all major athletic programs, an active theater arts program, and many student organizations. We have modern classrooms, including newer science facilities, classrooms recently updated with document cameras and projectors, and lessons that incorporate technology. Likewise, all IB students and teachers are equipped with Google Chromebooks for the duration of their time in the IB program in order to facilitate multi-faceted learning. We are able to deliver a high quality education that provides a high school diploma and the opportunity for an IB Diploma. As further demonstration of our commitment to growing and developing the IB DP Programme, we continue to expand the array of courses offered to all students.

Furthermore, in May of 2013, West High School announced its candidacy to be officially recognized as an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme School (IB MYP) in the fall of 2015. When West receives this authorization for Grades 9 and 10, students in the Green Bay Area Public School District will have the unique opportunity to be immersed in the IB continuum from kindergarten until they graduate from high school - from Chappell Elementary, to Franklin Middle School, to West High School.
